- The 2013-2017 Council Strategic Priorities identified the need to find a location for more baseball diamonds
- The 2018-2021 Council Strategic Plan made Pogadl Park a priority, "the complete design, and construction of Pogadl Park, Phase 1, including detailed design, Outline Plan, campgrounds, ball diamonds, soccer fields, washrooms, and parking lot."
- The baseball diamonds at Four Seasons Park were constructed in the mid 1980s. The park can’t expand because being close to a main road creates safety concerns
