Phase 4 Construction and Baseball Diamond Improvements Set to Begin

Phase 4 Construction is scheduled to start in May 2026 and be completed in December 2026. This work includes:

  • Synthetic Turf Field

  • 4 Pickleball Courts

  • Roads B & C (see project map)

  • Parking Lot 3

  • Irrigation

  • Operations Yard

Budget:

  • Budget: $7,400,000

How does this impact park users, and what do you need to know?

  • There should be no interruptions to park spaces or services.

Baseball diamond Improvements are scheduled to start in May 2026.

Why?

  • During wet weather, the baseball diamonds have been affected by water pooling.

What work will be done?

  • Remove existing shale

  • Re-grade the clay base layer

  • Ensure the sub-drainage system is working

  • Place new drainage rock and shale

When?

  • The first ball diamond will be closed for construction from May 2026 to the start of June 2026

  • The final three ball diamonds will be closed for construction from September 8, 2026, to October 2026

How does this impact ball diamond users, and what do you need to know?

  • Construction will happen before and after peak season

  • We are not closing all ball diamonds at once. Ball diamonds not under construction will be available to rent and use throughout construction
