How did the Town get the land?
- The Town acquired land to develop the 80-acre sport and recreation park:
- In 2016, members of the Pogadl family generously donated 20 acres of land to the Town of Sylvan Lake. They made the donation in the name of Ed and Glenda Pogadl for the purpose of constructing a sports and recreation park
- The Town purchased 54 more acres of land (at $20,000 per acre) and received 6 acres as a Municipal Reserve contribution. A 2016 land appraisal identified the market value for the lands at $20,000 per acre
