Sewage Lagoon Reclamation and Snow Dump
Sylvan Lake has too many people to treat wastewater using lagoons. Because we have grown, the lagoons could not treat our wastewater to meet federal and provincial requirements. As of July 2019, the sewage lagoons no longer treat our wastewater. Instead, sewage is pumped to the Red Deer waste treatment plant.
The old sewage lagoon site must be cleaned up, and the lagoon storage cells reclaimed.
Project benefits
Lagoons must be reclaimed to the pre-lagoon stage or repurposed for another suitable use
