    Hi RJ,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    How service levels are set
The frequency and duration of our current solid waste collection is determined by Council. The service levels that we have today were set by Council decisions in the past. They do their best to balance service levels with available budget.

    Its time for a review
This year, Council is reviewing our service levels and deciding if they need to be adjusted. To provide Council with good information for decision-making, the Town:

    1. Is completing a Solid Waste Master Plan this year
    2. Has collected Laker's feedback through the July 31, 2025 open house
    3. Is asking for Laker's feeback through the survey

How to make sure your feedback is included in the new plan

If you haven't already, we encourage you to complete the survey to ensure that your comments help inform the Solid Waste Master Plan.

Where will we post Council's next decisions?

The completed Solid Waste Master Plan and council's decisions will be posted on this page sometime in the fall after Council has reviewed the plan. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Sincerely,
    The Town Of Sylvan Lake
