The Heritage Management Plan is split over 3 phases. The progress of the plan is determined by how much funding we get for each phase.

Phase 3: Final Plan & Adoption

• Budget: $55,000
• Funding Source:
  • Future Application: 40% Government of Alberta Heritage Preservation Partnership Program (grant)
  • Pending Council Approval: 60% Municipal Operating Budget (tax dollars)
• Progress: 2026. Scheduled, based on grant funding award

Phase 2: Draft Plan Development

• Budget: $30,000
• Funding Source:
  • Application underway: 40% Government of Alberta Heritage Preservation Partnership Program (grant)
  • Council approved: 60% Municipal Operating Budget (tax dollars)
• Progress: Underway, Fall 2025.

Phase 1: Background Research

• Budget:$50,000
• Funding Source:
  • Secured: 50% Government of Alberta Heritage Preservation Partnership Program (grant)
  • Secured: 50% Municipal Operating Budget
• Progress: Completed Spring 2025
