Dollars for Doors Program

About the program

• The Dollars for Doors Program provides a grant of up to $30,000 for each new affordable rental unit created.

Who can apply?

• The program is open to new multi-unit projects that rent any number of the units at an affordable rate.
• The project must have a valid approved development permit and be ready for building permit submission.
• The following groups are eligible to apply:
  • Private developers
  • Non-profit housing providers
  • Indigenous organizations
  • Community-based organizations

How to apply?

• The program utilizes a “call for proposals” framework. Please view the Dollars for Doors application guide on how to submit a proposal.
• Proposals will be accepted until January 15, 2027 or until funding runs out.
