Public open house - Thursday, May 21, 2026

The Town of Sylvan Lake invites residents and business owners to attend an Open House on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Party Chef (4904 50 Ave, Sylvan Lake AB T4S 1C9) !

This event provides an opportunity to:

• Learn more about Phase 2 of the Centennial Street Redevelopment Project
• Share feedback and discuss ways the Town can support local businesses during construction
• Phase 2 is the final stage of the project and focuses on redeveloping 50 (Centennial) Street from 50 Avenue to Lakeshore Drive. Planned improvements include:
  • Replacement of sidewalks, curb and gutter, and roadway surface
  • Installation of soil cells to support healthy tree growth
  • Wider sidewalks with enhanced landscaping and streetscaping
  • New streetlighting with wayfinding signage

These upgrades are intended to revitalize Sylvan Lake’s downtown core, creating a more accessible, vibrant, and modern destination for residents, businesses, and visitors’ year-round.
